Transferring data over the internet requires electricity, which creates carbon emissions, impacting climate change. This is because a huge amount of electricity is needed to run processing and data transfer centers around the world
INTERNET is responsible for 3.7% of carbon emissions in the world. The communications industry could use 20% of all the world’s electricity by 2025; the IT sector already consumes around 7% of global electricity.
We designed a low-impact website to reduce Zordan’s corporate footprint here as well. Care has been taken to use system fonts, low-res images and other technical features to avoid unnecessary HTTP calls.
